Short answer: In Singapore: change the oil and filter every 10,000 km or six months, the cabin filter about yearly, rotate tyres every 10,000 km or six months, expect brake pads at around 50,000 to 55,000 km, test the battery from its first year (most last 1.5 to 3 years here), and inspect the car every 2 years from age 3 and yearly after 10.

Your owner’s manual overrides any general schedule, so use this as a checklist alongside it.
Every six months
The six-monthly visit is the anchor: oil and filter, a tyre rotation, and a look at brakes, fluids, belts, lights and wipers. If your car does little mileage, the six-month limit still applies, because oil ages with time and heat as well as distance.
Every year
Change the cabin filter, have the aircon condenser cleaned, and get the battery tested. In Singapore the aircon runs every day and the battery works harder in the heat, so these are the items most often left too long.
At set mileages
Brake pads usually come due around 50,000 to 55,000 km, and the major-service items (spark plugs, air filter, brake fluid, coolant) at the mileages in your manual. See servicing costs for what a major service runs to.
Inspection years
From the car’s third birthday, inspection comes round every two years, then yearly after ten. Book a pre-inspection check into the same visit as a service and you save a trip. Use the inspection due-date checker to see your years at a glance.

More questions
Why does Singapore need shorter intervals?
Heat, humidity, constant aircon and stop-start traffic all work parts harder than the gentle driving many manufacturer schedules assume, so the time limits matter even on low-mileage cars.
What is the legal tyre tread depth?
1.6 mm is the legal minimum in Singapore.
